Ashur A good way to get closer to the truth is to try and understand what differentiates you from an animal of your choice, as well as the people you're surrounded with. It's important to remember that even creatures that look hugely different from us, without even the bipedal bodyplan of humanoids, still share a significant number of their genes with humans. The genes that create the complex system of blood vessels within us have virtually the same structure as those used by a dolphin, a snake, a penguin... so the real question is, is there really a distance between two earthen creatures like humans or earthworms, or is the difference akin to the difference that occurs when a second passes, infinitely great in the space-time continuum, but also, not different at all? The reality of existence is as a piece of paper would be- so thin you can rip it to shreds without any effort at all, but so infinitely complex that doing so will tear through billions of particles, perfectly lined up for...
